problem is everytime someone posts in a thread it comes up as unread, now I have read most of them, but not being interested in the topic/first couple of posts, value my freedom not to have to read it further, just would be handy to have a mark all as read feature if possible.

once you've clicked into a category a Mark All As Read button appears at the bottom, next to the Post New Thread button.
