Congratz!
Quickest way to owning a fast car and not being raped for insurance?
Take a year or two with a really old car on 3rd party and build up your no claims........

As you should of been informed. you have 6 points for two years, exceed, then you have to retake your theory and driving test.
Imagine this......If your tyre levels are boderline, change them no matter what since sods law is that you might be pulled for doing 34mph in a 30mph area, the police decide to inspect the car, 1 tyre fails the 1.6mm test, 6 points have been awarded.... you are back to the test centre. I am not trying to scare you, just make you aware! Anyhow, I got through my two years on 3 points...35mph in a 30mph zone, on a moped. The points carried over, not to mention the exponential increase on my insurance
I am no saint. 3 claims in first 2 years of driving;
1) Snow and ice on the road. Low profiles on soft rubber are dog shit in winter.... A elderly lady left her car at the bottom of a hill with a sharp right hand turn.....Doing 10mph, tried turning, slowly, faster, could of gotten out and walked quicker....I still impacted, my fault.
2) Reveresed into a parked vehicle on an unlight street. The vehicle was parked half on the pavement on double yellow lines.... ...My fault, although I was bickering with the Mrs...but still, my fault...and lessoned learnt.....Concentrate
3) Car broken into, cracking sound system was ripped out, the fuckers damaged the paint work for the hell of it, I had to claim....Although, my advice is DO NOT CLAIM. Pay the cost of repair, it will be less than the bloody premium that they put on lol.
It is not me telling you what to do Cerb, just letting you know that the above mistakes have cost me financially beyond belief. The above were mistakes, nothing more, nothing less. This happens without you putting your foot down or cruising at 90mph on the motorway and trust me, takes a long time for you to clear from your 'records' and has the insurers rubbing their hands together knowing that when you renew your insurance, you are nothing more than a statistic that they will milk for every last penny.
Safe travels my friend!
