it seems Tiscali have bought Pipex, which inturn means they bought Nildram (my isp), and even though Nildrams network was excellent, and Tiscali have chronic suck syndrome (shite service, shite customer support, and block ports without telling you), they still feel that transfering everyone off the Nildram/Pipex core to the tiscali one is a good idea...... thus now I have a tiscali IP

So, I am looking for another ISP, my monthly usage never exceeds 50Gb (usually less than 25Gb over peak periods (download stuff between midnight-8am). I currently pay £20 month and can't really afford more although will take into consideration upto £25. Anyone have any suggestions ?

I've found out that Entanet offer the best performance (according to thinkbroadband.co.uk forums and ratings). They sell through resellers, They have No traffic shaping, no port restrictions and generous usage plans. Also have office plans which use the (formally) BT 20:1 contention (although contention isn't used as a measure anymore).

www.adsl24.co.uk - Home 30 - 30Gb peak (between 8am and 10pm) and 300Gb (three-hundred) off peak. £19.99.

edit-

Entanet resellers (Ace, Aquiss, ADSL24, Freeola, Swift, UKFSN, Vivaciti, Xifos)  there are more although I've not found a complete list, these ISPs offer essentially the same service.
