| Iv looked around on a few Forums but can find anything... basicly my BF2142 has decied it doesnt want to work any more.. it gets half way through loading a map then just totally stops... i cant do anything to get out of it other then restarting my pc.... it was working fine one day and not its now... i had an error load up the other day but i was too drunk to even try read it and i didnt take much notice... i did have only 5g left on my HDD and thought it may but that but iv since got a 320 and trasfere3d loads files over but still nothing im afraid... any ideas

| I remember having this problem i did the following and its now working sweet as a nut 
If you goto your main bf2142 dir on your hdd, there should be a file called radial.cdb. If you cant see it you prob not got on "show hidden files and folders". Now that your can see it rename it to oradial.cdb. The maps should now load without a problem seems like this file is corrupted.

forcing it to rebuild your profile/graphics optimisations
(back it up first, so you've a way back  )

| awww well i tryed varps way first and well now nothing happens.. i put the disk in and it auto loads and then u click start and nothing happens i think its looking for BF2142.exe but i dont knwo where it is so theres not point it asking me

1) download pbsetup.exe (from somewhere  ) and run it, following the instructions to update
2) Make sure you have all M$ updates (in particular DX9 runtime)
3) Reinstall
BTW path to bf2142.exe is something like C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BF2142\bf2142.exe, lazy bugger | |

Download the windows version and then add the games that are applicable and then update. Any probs and I will be on vent later.
Try this and the game BEFORE uninstalling. No point re-installing when it could work purrfectly...... | |

Got it working.. had to reinstall BF2142 and PB and of corse the lastist pacth and seems to work fine now.
erm i dont have any favs but we play on any server really.. LSF and ESS are the main severs we play on.. if im playing on my own i find a 16/20 man server...
do you have northen strike... i think most people with BF2142 in C5 have it..
