Found a gem of info on the offical forums Cryptic are currently giving away a retail copy of the game and lifetime subs to peeps the the USA in the rules for this giveaway is this paragraph 4. PRIZES: Grand Prize : Five (Grand Prize Winners will be selected to receive: one Star Trek Online retail box copy and one Star Trek Online “Lifetime Subscription”. Estimated retail value of the Grand Prize is $550 per Grand Prize; $2750 total. The retail box prize will be awarded when commercially available, which is estimated to be at least one year after the close of the contest Contest ends August 17th 2008 so August 17th 2009 at the earliest

BORG would be a shit race to play.. after all you would be totally controlled by AI so would have NO personal thoughts, therefore no say in what went on.

the dominion arent gonna be playable at launch but they will be adding them and the romulans at some stage only playable factions are federation and klingon at launch

Gamestop.com is taking preorders for this, stating release as 26/01/2010. no word from cryptic with regards to this being an official preorder or just gamestop jumping the gun. good number of screens now on the official webby www.startrekonline.com
