btw anyone thinking of going with sky dont, there speeds have been shite at peek times and technical support dont know what there talking about, on the plus side its not india your ringing.

recently my connection has not been great, when playing wow i would get disconnects every so often, when trying to watch youtube it would buffer allot, checked speed test to find i was only getting 0.5mbps this was at about 6pm, yet right now at 4:50am im getting 6.9mbps, when i rang up last night about it the guy said i dont have broadband with them.... even though im still with them till august 25th, Ive decided to go back with bt

hmm BT aren't that great imo at the moment.. been with them about 5 or 6 years and happy enough but now they're throttling connections from mid afternoon till midnight.. my 6mb or so has dropped on occasion to sub 1mb which sucks...

Go with an Entanet reseller,  I have used ADSL24, no traffic shaping (what you are getting with sky and ANY other mainstream provider) and a reasonable download limit, mine was something like 30gbs peak (8am-midnight) and something ridiculous like 300gb off peak.  They did allocate bandwidth at peak usage times (6pm-10pm) and it only ever went down to 2.2mbps throughput, but pings were still good.

I cannot stress enough the importance of not using a mainstream ISP if you want an un-adulterated connection (i've said it before, and i'll say it again).
